When you get to Estes Park on Thursday, please find your way to the Fairchild Reunion cabin.
See Maps Below
The Fairchild Reunion cabin is circled in red on the map. When you get to the YMCA, you can also get a map from their office. They also have information on their website on things to do in the area, and activities available on their property.
We are super excited to meet everyone! My puppies are excited to meet everyone too! They don't ever get enough attention!
Saturday at Estes Park will be a great day to ask questions, get help. and share. Please bring any products or devices or handouts that you want to share with the group. There are 35 people in case you want to hand anything out.
Please note if you have ANY questions about your lab interpretation reports, please bring the report with you, at least the final summary and the pages that show the actual lab factors color-coded in green, yellow, orange, and hot pink.
I can also access your lab report if the internet is good at the lodge but it's a lot easier for me to look at the report if you bring it. I will be bringing some of the more popular products to sell that showed up on a lot of the reports.
Please check the Estes Park weather before you leave home. I would pack a jacket or sweater for sure! There are great hiking trails too! I looked yesterday and temps have been ranging from 20+ degrees at night to 50's during the day. I'm super excited to get out of Houston and enjoy the cooler weather in Colorado!
If you want to go to Rocky Mountain National Park, it's a short drive from where we will be at the YMCA. The best time to see animals is early in the morning or just before dusk if you want to try to fit that in Monday morning or you could go Sunday at dusk and eat dinner in Estes Park when you get done. With the cooler weather, there is a better chance to see the BIG animals!
Here's more info - https://www.nps.gov/romo/index.htm. They will not be requiring reservations when we are there.
Rocky Mountain National Park (U.S. National Park Service)www.nps.govEstes Park is a very cute small mountain town and it's common to see deer and elk in downtown Estes Park, especially this time of year. Take your phone or camera if you go into town. There are a lot of shops and restaurants down the main street and the famous Stanley Hotel. The Shining and Dumb & Dumber were filmed there and it has a long history of being haunted. They do hotel tours and it's worth seeing. The Shining was loosely based on the true story of Stephen King going to the Stanley for the winter when he lived in Boulder.
If you get in early Thursday or have a late flight on Monday, you could do some extra exploring. Maria and Kris went to Estes last week to get some goodies for your Welcome Bags!
I'll be traveling starting this Saturday and may not send any additional emails but call or text Maria or me if you have questions or need to let us know anything. I do not get emails on my phone (because of the health privacy of my clients) so I will not see your emails if you send them after this Saturday. My cell number is 281-236-5453 or Maria's is 970-590-2345.
Thanks, Gwen & Maria
